Featured here you will find original, elegantly handcrafted Victorian lampshades by award winning, master artisan, Irene Smyth. With her creative flair and attention to detail, Irene’s artistry has won “Best in Category” and “Best in Show” at national and international competitions and is treasured by buyers around the world. To inspire her creativity, Irene searches for just the right combination of antique and vintage lamp bases, selected fabrics, frames, stones and beads to craft unique lamps or Victorian lampshades, making them a focal point of any room. Hand dyed and hand beaded fringes provide one-of-a-kind home decor or office centerpiece. Each lampshade is lovingly designed and personally hand crafted by Irene to her exacting standard of excellence.

Black Diamond Floor Lamp

Finished with a metalic pewter lacquer, gold brushed relief accents this restored circa 1930 floor lamp.

A hand stitched, silver embroidered gray chiffon covers a grey crepe back satin interlining and white cotton lining.

Tiny black jet beads are hand stitched to highlight the antique silver trim.

The 100 percent Black Diamond (Hematite) stone fringe was designed and hand strung by my daughter, Deborah.

1920 Satin Lampshade

This circa 1920 lampshade has been completely refurbished and rewired. Double lined crepe back satin with embroidered chiffon side panels highlights the main pleated chiffon and rosette main panels.

Beaded trillium flowers with a pearl center, compliment the embroidered chiffon paneling. Soft cream and metallic gold braid create and elegant accent to the panels. Ombre’ dyed silk fringe toned from soft cream to smoky topaz provides the finishing touches to this rare beauty.

	Lampshades Irene’s lampshades include antique and vintage Victorian, Art Deco, and period lampshades, beautifully restored and handcrafted by Irene Smyth. Irene creates her lampshades with the tasteful selection of wire frames exotic fabrics, hand beaded and hand dyed fringes to compliment the color, style and period of the base.
