Dawna has been a professional artist and teacher for many years. She works from her studio on the family ranch in North Western Colorado. Many of the paintings she creates reflects her life there, from the double rainbow over the mountains, to the cowboy asleep on his horse. Dawna is constantly learning new techniques to improve her style. Through her travels she has studied the art work of masters all over the world. Including England, France, and Germany, along with the U. S. The countless awards she has accumulated through the years only inspire her to work harder and learn more. In her home town of Rangely, Colorado she is know as “The lady who paints the town,” because of all the mural and art work she has done for people and businesses there.
