16th Century Tuscan Bed
The Tuscan Bed was inspired by the drawings of the 15th and 16th century
Florentine sideboard, on display at the "Bargello National Museum" of Florence, Italy.
Structure in solid walnut, completed with old wood layed in different positions to create an incredible
and decorative figure. Done in Solid Italian Walnut with "Certosino" inlay in ebony, maple and walnut,
typical woods of the period, or Florentine "Iris" inlay. Traditional craftsman joinery.
Extremely beautiful handfinish in these pieces is achieved through the planing of the wood surfaces,
the non-toxic water staining, three layers of open pore varnishing and at last, the natural beeswax polish. |
